Travis Turns Out

James Talarico

The biggest divide in our politics is not left versus right, it's top versus bottom. The billionaires want us divided.

This isn't a normal election.

For the first time in decades, Democrats have a real shot at winning statewide in Texas. But it will only happen if Travis County voters turn out!

Republicans have controlled our state for too long. They've made rent, food and gas too expensive, hurt our schools, and made billionaires and giant corporations their top priority.

But Democrats can win this year, and put government back on the side of everyday Texans!

We can bring prices down, give our kids a good education, make it easier and more affordable to see a doctor, and put working families first, if you will vote!

Top of the Ticket

James Talarico

James Talarico

U.S. Senate

vs. Ken Paxton

State Rep. James Talarico is at the top of our party's ticket. An eighth-generation Texan, former middle school teacher, and seminary student, Talarico represents Austin in the Texas House, where he passed a law capping insulin costs at $25 a month and led the fight against school vouchers. His campaign against corruption and billionaire mega-donors has electrified the country, shattering fundraising records with small-dollar donations from every corner of Texas.

Gina Hinojosa

Gina Hinojosa

Governor

vs. Greg Abbott

Gina Hinojosa grew up in Brownsville public schools, became a civil rights lawyer for working Texans, and got into politics as a public school mom fighting to keep her son's school open. Now a five-term Democratic lawmaker from Austin, she has made her campaign for governor a fight against the mega-donors and multi-national corporations driving up prices, closing neighborhood schools, and cheating Texans out of basic health care.
